The time has come, after carefully examining 612 projects applications and 109 presentations from future story editors we are ready to introduce you to the 23 participants coming from 20 different countries around the world: Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, Colombia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Senegal, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, Turkey, United Kingdom and USA.
The internationally renowned experts of script consultancy Séverine Cornamusaz (Switzerland), Miguel López Beraza (Spain), Aleksandra Swierk (Poland) and Selina Ukwuoma (United Kingdom) will mentor the teams, split into 4 groups during the training path. The participants will be involved in 5 intense sessions from April until November 2024, residentially in Berlin, Porto and Turin.

One professional assigned to each group to work side by side with the tutor and get an insight into the development process of a feature film, focusing on the early scriptwriting stage: Yanis Gaye (France/Senegal), Miriam Newman (UK), Marie-Gabrielle Peaucelle (France), Michal Reich (Czech Republic).
ScriptLab is organised by TorinoFilmLab - National Museum of Cinema with the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA Sub-programme of the European Union. ScriptLab 2024 is realised in partnership with Der Divan - Das Arabische Kulturhaus - hosting the first workshop in Berlin; the City of Porto - hosting the second workshop in Portugal - with Filmaporto – Film Commission, Portugal Film Commission, ICA - Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual; and Focal who will support the participation of one project from Switzerland.
