Biography
Artistic Director of Locarno Film Festival. Previously, General Delegate of the Venice International Film Critics’ Week. Former programmer and curator for Visions du Réel. Member of the Union of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI), journalist, and writer. Previous work: programmer for the Torino Film Festival; Florence Festival dei Popoli; Rome Film Festival. He curated the art exhibition Il Di/Segno del Cinema – The De/Sign of Cinema in Cagliari, Italy. He wrote books and essays on Hong Kong cinema and postmodern action films, as well as a collection of short stories.
