She is an Egyptian filmmaker. She wrote and directed four short movies, three of them were coproduced by European or Canadian partners: “Spring” 2011 (France), “Together” 2013 (Canada) and “Baheya” 2014 (England). She took part in several international scriptwriting labs such as Torino, American film showcase, Sundance Collab, and Meditalents. She was nominated for national and regional awards such as Sawiras Cultural Award. She is currently working on her first feature film, Fragile. She holds a Master's degree in political science and her thesis was about the role of cinema in international relations. She also leads and mentors workshops and campaigns to empower girls and youth in schools, universities, and marginalized communities. She became a member at Gender Innovation Agora –GIA and Peace Builders Program UN-women in 2021. She is driven by her belief in the power of cinema as a force for change and influence.
