Samuel Lema, graduated in Art History, specializes in Script (UAB and EICTV) and Executive Production (UDC). He has worked in the animation sector in creative development departments at production companies such as CGI pioneer Dygra Films. He has directed four live-action short films (fiction and non-fiction) and written and produced another animation, which have traveled to more than a hundred festivals such as Sitges, Industry Days in Locarno (selected by EPC), HÖFF Haapsalu, and has competed for the "Melies" silver on three occasions, obtaining a Special Mention with his short film LA CARNE CRUDA at the Leeds Film Festival (LIFF) Fanomenon section. He has worked as a scriptwriter for different production companies, being selected in various development forums such as the Emerging Talent Networking of Netflix at the Girona Film Festival (LÍA), the Torino Series Lab (AS CRISÁLIDAS) or the I + P Ideas para producir (LA CASA Y EL CADÁVER). He combines his work as a screenwriter and director with his work as an Artistic Director in advertising, film, and television. Works among which the film by Óliver Laxe O QUE ARDE (2019) awarded with two Goyas (2020) and the jury prize Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival (2019) stands out, being awarded a Mestre Mateo from the Audiovisual Academy of Galicia for the Best Artistic Direction in 2020.
