We are happy to share with you that AUTOBIOGRAPHY by Makbul Mubarak (FeatureLab 2017) - which was part of the ORIZZONTI section - got the FIPRESCI prize, assigned by the International Federation of Film Critics. The film is about a young man torn between loyalty and justice confronts the truth of his father figure that may destroy them both.
Also, NEZOUH by Soudade Kaadan
(Interchange 2013 and ORIZZONTI EXTRA in Venice) received the Audience Award – Armani Beauty; while ANHELL69 by Theo Montoya (TFL Extended 2019) won a Jury Special Mention at Settimana Internazionale della Critica (SIC).
Finally, congratulations to our alumnus Fernando Guzzoni for his Best Screenplay Award for Blanquita and to our alumna Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir and her Best Short Snow In September.
We cannot wait to see these films screened in cinemas all over the planet!

As the 79th edition of the Mostra del Cinema di Venezia comes to an end, we cannot help but feel proud and excited for the two #TFLfilms presented for the first time at the Lido and also for our alumni that obtained various recognitions from the juries.
