TFL MEETING EVENT 15th Edition: 3 days left

The 15th edition of our international co-production market - known as the TFL Meeting Event – is quickly approaching. In just a few days Turin city center will welcome once again directors, scriptwriters, producers, market guests and film industry experts from all corners of the world, eager to shake hands and dive into the atmosphere. Since the information are numerous and the time is running out, let’s draft the all-you-need-to-know list.

TFL MEETING EVENT 15th Edition: 3 days left

THE CALENDAR: The TFL Meeting Event will kick off with the opening dinner on the 24th evening to continue the following morning between pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings involving the FeatureLab and ScriptLab projects of 2022. The event will last until Saturday 26th ending the Awards Ceremony, a special and long-awaited moment focused on the distribution of many prizes. New this year? The locations hosting us for the first time around Porta Nuova station in Turin.

To give you a full picture: the co-production market will be anticipated on the 24th by the TFL Italia day, a spin-off specifically addressed to the Italian audiovisual sector focused on the presentation of Alpi Film Lab and Up & Coming Italia's projects, happening in the frame of Torino Film Industry.

THE JURIES: Three international juries will have a central role this year. The Main Jury is composed of Florence Almozini (USA), Dyveke Bjørkly Graver (Norway), Philippe Bober (France), Donsaron Kovitvanitcha (Thailand) and Shahrbanoo Sadat (Afghanistan/Germany);

the CNC Jury with Georges Goldenstern (France), Nadia Trevisan (Italy) and Luís Urbano (Portugal); and the Eurimages Jury including Maialen Beloki Berasategui (Spain), Erik Hemmendorff (Sweden) and Els Hendrix (Germany).


THE PRIZES: The Main Jury will assign the Production Awards (financial contributions) to 4 FeatureLab projects; a series of collateral prizes will also be awarded thanks to the TFL partners, among them: the CNC Award and the Eurimages Co-production Development Award assigned by the dedicated juries; two prizes pushing for a sustainable audiovisual industry may go to FeatureLab and ScriptLab projects; and lastly, the Scarabeo Award will be received by an Alpi Film Lab project.
