Biography

Sol Bondy was born in 1979 and grew up in London, Spain and Berlin. He studied film production at the German film school dffb Berlin. Throughout his studies, he produced a number of short films, which won many prestigious awards, such as the LOLA – the German Short Film Prize in Gold. He graduated with “Reported Missing”, a full-length feature film, which had it's world premiere at the Berlinale 2012 and was nominated at the European Film Awards. He founded One Two Films in 2010 with the producer Jamila Wenske and the investor Christoph Lange. 6 feature films have premiered since, including "Angry Indian Goddesses", which won audience Awards in Toronto and Rome, as well as "The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki", which won Cannes' Un Certain Regard sidebar in 2016. Sol is a EFA member, graduated from the Trans Atlantic Partners Program and was selected as one of the world's 30 "Future Leader: Producers" by Screen International. Sol teaches at various film schools, such as dffb Berlin, Film University Babelsberg and FAMU (Prague).
