Biography

Eszter Gyárfás graduated at the Hungarian Film Academy in 2006. During her studies she worked in a number of projects, including Taxidermia by György Pálfi, Johanna and Delta by Kornél Mundruczó. From 2008 to 2010 she worked as the Assistant Director of the Hungarian Cultural Center in New York with such major New York cultural institutions as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, MoMA, Brooklyn Museum. She returned to Budapest, Hungary in January 2011 to begin working as a producer at the acclaimed theatre and film production company Proton Cinema. She has since produced the debut feature A Land of Storms by Ádám Császi (currently in post-production), is in pre-production for Kornél Mundruczó’s upcoming project White God‘ and is developing ‚Iris‘ by László Nemes.
