CHILDREN OF SARAJEVO wins 3 Awards in Pesaro, gets Italian distribution and is selected for the LUX Prize 2012

After having its world premiere at this year\'s Un Certain Regard in Cannes - where it received the Special Distinction of the Jury - CHILDREN OF SARAJEVO by Aida Begic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), that will also open the upcoming Sarajevo Film Festival, conquered the Pesaro Film Festival: participating in the official competition Pesaro Nuovo Cinema 2012, it won the Lino Miccichè Prize for the Best Film, the Pesaro Young Cinema Award assigned by the youth jury, as well as the Cinema and Human Rights Award assigned by Amnesty International. Besides, the film will be distributed in Italy by Kitchen Film.

But the good news are not over for CHILDREN OF SARAJEVO, because Aida Begic\'s second feature was also selected as one of the 10 finalists for the Lux Prize 2012, the official selection of which was unveiled during the 47th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Czech Republic. The LUX Prize, established in 2007, is awarded annually by the Members of the European Parliament. It pursues two main objectives: spotlighting the public debate on the European Union (EU) project and values and supporting circulation of European film-productions within the Union.

CHILDREN OF SARAJEVO, produced by Film House (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and co-produced by Les Films de l\'Apres Midi (France), Kaplan Film (Turkey) and Rohfilm (Germany), was developed within the FrameWork programme in 2010 and won a Production Award of 100.000 Euro at the TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event in the same year.
