TFL book on Audience Design available on-line!

TorinoFilmLab is glad to share its new publication, Audience Design – An Introduction, curated by the two long-time tutors of the pioneering eponymous TFL programme launched in 2011: Valeria Richter (Denmark) and Lena Thiele (Germany). The book can be downloaded and consulted for free on our website.

The topic is of great interest: the question of how to attract the attention of the public in an increasingly noisy and competitive market has become an item on the agenda and has increasingly crept into the cultural sphere in recent years; this volume is a first effort to collect reflections, experiences and knowledge gained in the 8 years of development and research of the TorinoFilmLab in this field.

The aim is to introduce the concept and practice of Audience Design in relation to the development, production and distribution of films, especially independent and arthouse films: a first, more theoretical part is followed by a real “step-by-step manual" on how to apply it concretely to a film project.
