Biography

Virginia Urreiztieta is Venezuelan screenwriter and director whose work revolves around atmospheric tales that explore the modern diseases of the mind and soul, with a focus in women. She attended New York University Graduate Film Program, where she directed several short films, including GAS STATION, produced by James Franco and featured in the collaborative feature film COLOR OF TIME, starring Henry Hopper, Mila Kunis and Jessica Chastain, which premiered at the 2012 Rome Film Festival. In 2013, she was selected to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus Buenos Aires. Her thesis film PANORAMA premiered at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2016 and was awarded with the Special Jury Mention. Currently, she’s writing and developing DEEPER, her feature film debut.
