Biography

Fernanda De la Peza was born in Mexico City in 1983. She graduated from the Iberoamerican University there in Communications, then studied abroad at Fordham University in New York City. She has worked as an assistant director on many award winning films since 2005. Among them are Carlos Reygadas' "Silent Light" (Jury Prize Cannes 2007) and "Post Tenebras Lux", (Best Director Cannes 2012). She also worked with Amat Escalante on "Heli" (Best Director Cannes 2013. Since 2012 she has produced theater with her own independent company; "Todas las Fiestas de Mañana". Her two most recent plays participated in international theater festivals and at the National Theater Showcase of the INBA in Mexico. In 2016 Fernanda produced the Mexican Sci-Fi Drama "The Untamed" by Amat Escalante which premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival winning the Silver Lion for Best Director. She is currently developing two feature films, as a main producer, to be shot in Mexico; "The Hole in the Fence" by Joaquín del Paso and "Supernova" by Natalia López Gallardo.
