Biography
Graduated from Azerbaijan State University in 2010, specialising in film directing. Since then, he has been living and working in Kyiv’s film industry. He is an active member of Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema since 2015. Member of the Ukranian Film Academy since 2023. Novruz co-directed docufiction It Is Quiet Here, premiered at Sarajevo FF, and acted in La Palisiada, which won the FIPRESCI prize at Rotterdam FF 2023. For that he won the Ukraine Film Academy award Golden Dzyga for best actor. Currently developing the feature-lenght debut, Hardsub.
