Moreno is an argentine filmmaker based in Buenos Aires. He is considered as one of the most important filmmakers of the so called New Argentine Cinema. His film The delinquents, premiered at Un certain regard in Cannes 2023 was showed also in Toronto, NYFF, London Film Festival, San Sebastian, among many others. The films was also released in theatres in more than twenty countries including France, US, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and Japan and it was considered as one of the best films of the year in many prestigious film magazines from all over the world. His first film El Custodio won the Alfred Bauer Preis in Berlinale and best latinamerican script in Sundance. His following film A mysterious world was also invited to the official competition in Berlinale. Reimon and Provincial City were filmed in 2014 and 2017 respectively and both had their international premiere at Rotterdam Film Festival. He works also as script doctor and film tutor for several film foundations in Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Colombia and Brazil. He teachs film direction at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires and he belongs to the staff of the annual magazine Revista de Cine, where he publishes articles and essays.
