Biography

In 2020 Haillay founded Kirlian, supported by Creative England, to unique diagnostic framework for script analysis - ‘The Story Bridge’, currently being developed as a machine learning model and tool with the Computer Vision Lab (Data Science) at University of Nottingham. Previously in 2001, founded Third films - dedicated to the creation of visionary artistic works in cinematic and gallery contexts. Working across narrative and documentary, Haillay produced eight features, including BETTER THINGS and BYPASS both directed by Duane Hopkins, LIGHT YEARS by Esther May Campbell, SELF MADE by Gillian Wearing and ISLAND OF THE HUNGRY GHOSTS by Gabrielle Brady. The films received premiers at Cannes, Venice, Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto and London Film Festivals and have collected 35 international awards and nominations including a Film Independent Spirit Award Nomination in 2020 A member of BAFTA, EAVE and ACE and delivers development and production mentoring and training through Attagirl, BFI, Locarno Open Doors, the Venice Biennale College Cinema, The Rotterdam Film Lab, EAVE, Feature Expanded, Film London and Creative England and has mentored or Executive produced over 30 films that have gone into production and won over 70 International Awards. He is also freelance script editor and a film academic.
