Branko Linta, cinematographer, born 1968 in Zagreb, Croatia. Graduated in Cinematography course at Academy of Dramatic Arts, University of Zagreb in 1993. Begun his professional career working for Croatian Television as news and live television cameraman. Soon his interest turned towards feature films where he works on positions of camera assistant and camera/steadicam operator. His first film as director of photography was comedy Cashier wants to go to the seaside in 2000. In following years he made 10 feature films, several shorts, documentaries, TV series and many commercials with directors such as Dalibor Matanic, Goran Devic, Zvonimir Juric, Bill Fertik, Catharina Roland and Zrinko Ogresta. Dedicated in creating moving pictures that draw audience deep into the film story and supporting film structure as a whole. Branko Linta received two "Golden Arena awards" for best motion picture photography at Pula Film Festival as well as "Best artistic achievement award" for his war time drama The blacks at Alexandria Film Festival. Currently lecture at Academy of Dramatic Arts, University of Zagreb, member of European Film Academy and in preproduction for new film from director Rajko Grlic.
