Sabah Haider is a filmmaker and journalist based in Beirut, Lebanon. She has written, produced and directed three short films. Her articles have been published in several languages in print and online, including Le Monde Diplomatique, Christian Science Monitor, Electronic Intifada, and dozens of magazines, websites and newspapers around the world. Between 2009 and 2010 she held scriptwriting and filmmaking workshops for Palestinian children and youth in Beirut and in Bethlehem. She has an MA in Film Studies from University College London (UCL) in the UK, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Guelph, Canada. In December 2009 she was awarded the UCL Provost's Award for Public Engagement, for translating her MA research into filmmaking workshops for youth in Beirut's refugee camps, and in Palestine.
