Marie Legrand worked for ten years in the cinema production industry. She joined French production company Full House (Didar Domehri, Laurent Baudens and Gaël Nouaille) in 2009 where she held the position of executive producer in charge of development.
She followed and implemented international coproductions on films including 11 flowers by Wang Xiaoshuai (San Sebastian, Toronto Film Festival 2011), Elefante Blanco by Pablo Trapero (Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2012 – Un Certain Regard) and 7 days in Havana by Benicio Del Toro, Elia Suleiman, Gaspar Noé, Julio Medem, Pablo Trapero, Laurent Cantet and Juan-Carlos Tabio (Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2012 – Un Certain Regard).
From 2013 to 2015, Marie Legrand also worked as a member of the reading committee for writing and development funds at the CNC. She is now part of the reading committee of Aide aux Cinémas du monde.
She created in May 2014 her company Les Films du Tambour along with Rani Massalha.
