For me, the magic of television is the escape element of it. And whenever I’m feeling particularly low, I rewatch sitcoms. I cry, I laugh, I think about the characters during work and would rather check in with them than my real friends. Even though I know all the jokes by heart, it’s just so comforting to feel laughter in my heavy heart.
Creating characters who you trust like friends and love like family turns a show into an incredibly powerful platform. I have already fallen in love with the ensemble, and I hope you will too: there’s Leonie, an impulsive overachiever. Next up Max, a cynical creative. Daniel is chaos with a
big heart. Then Charlie, the neurotic pragmatist. The oblivious optimist is Pip. And lastly, Juliana, an infectiously confident try-sexual.
I believe Ensemble could be for new audiences what already famous sitcoms are for me: comfort, inspiration, friendship and most importantly...
Laughter.
