In Thailand, many Buddhists believe that the highest merit can be gained by making offerings at nine temples within a single day. When a guru predicts that Sakol’s elderly mother may die before her upcoming birthday, he takes her and the rest of the family—nine members in total—on a one-day pilgrimage to extend her life. As the journey unfolds, tensions arise when the grandmother becomes too exhausted to continue, while Sakol insists on pressing forward. Some fear the journey may worsen her condition, while others question the belief itself. Set in a breezy atmosphere with touches of humor, the film follows a family divided by faith and care, as they confront whether to continue when the grandmother wishes to go home.
