Supporting films at the distribution stage through the implementation of innovative audience engagement and outreach strategies.

ABOUT THE FUND

€ 45,000 grant to support films at the distribution stage planning to be released in at least two territories, one of which theatrical. The TFL Audience Design Fund covers expenses connected to creation and execution of original audience engagement activities that go beyond the traditional distribution and marketing actions usually implemented to promote a film.  The TFL Audience Design Fund combines financial support with an Audience Design Consultancy: 3 mandatory online sessions during which the film team works with audience designers to create a tailored strategy for the implementation of innovative audience engagement and outreach strategies.

In 2024, a total of 3 grants of € 45,000 each will be assigned.

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS

International co-productions in post-production stage (feature, creative documentaries, animation, over 60 minutes).

Eligible films are co-productions between countries that are part of the Creative Europe MEDIA strand (*) and countries not participating in the MEDIA strand. The co-production shares must be within these ranges:

- MEDIA producers: min. 20% - max. 70%
- non-MEDIA producers: min. 30% - max. 80%.

The applicant must be a European producer or sales agent of a company established in one of the countries participating in the MEDIA strand (*) and owned by nationals from such countries.

 
The Audience Design Fund targets films planning to be distributed in at least two territories, one of which theatrical. The films’ distribution must be completed and reported by November 2025.

Consultancies: online sessions

1st workshop: 15th - 17th April 2024
2nd workshop: 2nd -3rd May 2024
3rd final workshop day: 19th June 2024


Reporting period: Autumn 2024 - Autumn 2025

Completion of the distribution and delivery of the final report: November 2025
