TFL’s agenda in Berlin

Besides the screenings of our #TFLfilms, part of the festival’s schedule (here to know more about it) many activities will see us involved in Berlin in the second half of February. In case you happen to be there, you know where to find us.

TFL’s agenda in Berlin

It’s time for the TFL Extended Audience Design workshop, organised in collaboration with World Cinema Fund, during which 5 Audience Design trainees will work as a group and individually on one feature film project developing and drafting an innovative audience engagement strategy to inspire the film's future distribution. The project selected is the winner of the WCF Europe - TFL Audience Design Award: CROCODILE TEARS by Tumpal Tampubolon (also part of the call FeatureLab 2019!). You can find all of their names and roles over here.

It is organised by EFM - European Film Market and co-hosted by TorinoFilmLab: a Think Tank event entitled Audience strategies for a sustainable, diverse, and independent future. This Think Tank - scheduled for the 18th ofFebruary - will explore ways to create audience connections at early stages of project development and production, in terms of creative thinking, storytelling, planning and funding - and how such approaches can translate into multi-platform strategies for the lifespan of an AV work. This event is upon invitation only.

Finally, Berlin will be the special landscape to wrap up the work of the first edition of SeriesLab Talents unfolded over the course of 2022. The 5 writers - Carla Grauls (Belgium, based in the UK), Fabrizio Muscia (Italy), Nach Solis (Spain), Svitlana Topor (Poland), Alice von Gwinner (Germany) - will have their final presentation during the event Only Writers In The Building (20th February at 16.00 @EFM Gropius Bau) co-hosted by Berlinale Series Market and designed by TorinoFilmLab and MIDPOINT Institute, in collaboration with ACE and EAVE.

Final touch: if you wish to hear more about our sustainability commitment join the Panel "GREEN FILMING: towards a common approach / Sharing data, tools and training activities" organised by Green Film in collaboration with CineRegio, scheduled on 19th February at 11.30 at Conference Lounge Gropius Pavilion, attended by our Managing Director Mercedes Fernandez Alonso who’ll focus on Green Film Lab.

Speaking of meetings in Berlin, some members of our TFL staff will be there in person and available for a chat: our director Mercedes Fernandez Alonso, our Programmes Coordinator Angelica, the TFL Funds & Films Coordinator Greta, the Project Manager of both SeriesLab & SeriesLab Talents Alice and our Office Manager Alessia

See you there!
