One month to Cannes 2023

Favourite things about spring: longer days, the selections of some of our annual programmes and, of course, the Cannes Film Festival!

One month to Cannes 2023

This constantly updated news will provide you with an overview of the #TFLfilms ready to be screened next May and of the alumni/alumnae joining the festival with new titles. 

Among the stories included in the Un Certain Regard section - announced on the 13th of April - there is a film developed within the FeatureLab class of 2018THE SETTLERS by Felipe Gálvez, awarded back then with the TFL Co-Production Award 2018 (€ 50.000*), and set at the end of the 19th century in Chilean Patagonia.

In the same section, we spotted IF ONLY I COULD HIBERNATE by Zoljargal Purevdash that participated in the TFL Extended - Script Development workshop also in 2018, and the TFL alumnus Alireza Khatami, director of Terrestrial Verses together with Ali Asgari. 

Furthermore, within the Semaine de la Critique we are happy to see INSHALLAH A BOY by Amjad Al Rasheed, developed in the frame of Red Sea Lodge 2020; and within la Quinzaine des Cinéastes there is also the TFL alumnus Bertrand Mandico, director of Conann


Finally, AUTUMN by 
António Sequeira,  a project that joined TFL Extended in Procida in 2021, and BRIEF HISTORY OF A FAMILY by Jianjie Lin (FeatureLab 2018) have been selected for the "Goes to Cannes" section in the Marché du Film.
