The world premieres will take place in the setting of the 76th Locarno Film Festival, this year scheduled from the 2nd to the 12th of August. The titles,  publicly announced today during the press conference, are eligible for the Pardo d'oro, the iconic and most prestigious prize of the Swiss Festival. Which are the #TFLfilms?

The film mixes past and present in a story that weaves between Lisbon and Bangkok.

(LA IMATGE PERMANENT)  by Laura Ferrés (ScriptLab 2019) - Spain/France
The story begins in rural southern Spain when a teenage mother disappears in the middle of the night.

SWEET DREAMS by Ena Sendijarevic  (ScriptLab 2019) - Netherlands/Sweden/Indonesia/Réunion
The film is set in late colonial times on a remote Indonesian island among sugar plantations.

Among the TFL alumni present in Locarno there will be, in the Out of Competition section, Bertrand Mandico with his CONANN recently presented in Cannes and with the international premiere of NOUS LES BARBARES; while the alumna Una Gunjak will present EXCURSION (Concorso Cineasti del present).
