Upon graduating from business school in Paris (HEC), Julie moved to the US where she became the Director for a subsidiary of ORANGE and participated into the early 90’s explosion of digital media and the dreams of a generation enthralled with the convergence between internet, television, and film. Upon returning to France she worked for the international NGO World Social Forum in France and in India. Julie Paratian becomes a producer in 2004 and a business partner with Caroline Bonmarchand at AVENUE B PRODUCTIONS (www.avenuebprod.com). She worked at structuring the company, produced part of the documentary catalogue and has been associated to the production of fiction films. In 2011 she created her own company called SISTER PRODUCTIONS (an anagram of RESIST), with an international, feminist and engaged approach. She is based in Bordeaux and works both with French directors as well as with international talents.
