Alejandro Arenas Azorín is a Paris-based producer and associate partner at Les films du Worso, the French production company led by Sylvie Pialat and Benoît Quainon. Originally from Spain, he joined the company in 2012 and now leads its international productions.
An EAVE alumnus, Alejandro has worked on more than thirty feature films, including Stranger by the Lake by Alain Guiraudie and Timbuktu by Abderrahmane Sissako (Academy Award nominee). He was a member of the CNC’s Cinémas du Monde Commission from 2018 to 2021 and regularly serves on juries for international funding bodies.
Recent productions include Quiet Life by Alexandros Avranas (Venice 2024), The Other Way Around by Jonás Trueba (Quinzaine des Cinéastes 2024), and Southern Brides by Elena López Riera (Semaine de la Critique 2024), which won the César for Best Documentary Short in 2025.
Alejandro focuses on bold, auteur-driven films and is committed to international cinema that bridges cultures and perspectives. He works closely with distinctive contemporary directors to bring global stories to the screen.
