Biography

Jesper Kurlandsky is a Producer as well as the Managing Director at the Swedish Production company Fasad. Jesper Kurlandsky produced Jesper Ganslandt's Queer Lion, and Goldenbug nominated Apan (2009) and Blondie (2012), both selected for film festivals such as Venice, Toronto, Rotterdam, and Warsaw. Kurlandsky also produced Axel Petersén's Avalon (2011), which won the International Critics’ Award (FIPRESCI). Avalon was also nominated to four Goldenbug of which it won two, best male actor and best supporting male role. 2018 Kurlandsky produced Jesper Ganslandts Jimmie, opening film at Rotterdam Film festival as well as nominated to Dragon Award. 2016 Jesper Kurlandsky founded Stockholm Coordination Initiative, an action based organization that initiated and arranged the one-week long festival 2017, Stockholm Act; a festival that brought together, art, science, politics, and business to mobilize and accelerate the transformation toward a society in line with UN's Global Sustainable Goals. The festival attracted over 40 000 visitors as well as managed to coordinate a 100 collaborators and was 2018 nominated for UN's International Action Awards.
