Biography
Ulrike Tony Vahl is a Berlin based, GDR-born filmmaker. She studied psychology, before graduating from the Film Academy in Potsdam-Babelsberg as a director and scriptwriter in 2016. Her films was shown at many international film festivals. It got several prices and nominations. “Gömböc” celebrated its premiere at the Locarno Film Festival. Her film “Below Zero” won the Grand Prix at the Bristol Film Festival and qualified for the Oscars. Her graduation film “Suffering” was nominated for the German Short Film Award. Now she is currently working on her feature film “The Crux”.
