Yanis Gaye is a French-Senegalese creative producer and cultural programmer. He serves as the managing producer of the boutique production house Goree Cinema and co-founded the Goree Cinema Festival, established in 2015. He has designed industry platforms and distribution programs, notably the Goree Cine Lab, launched in 2020. His productions garnered recognition at international festivals such as the FESPACO, AFRIFF, Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg and the New York African Film Festival. In addition, Yanis is also a 2023 alumni of the EFM Toolbox Programme and the EAVE Producers’ Workshop. In that same year, he founded Strange Fruit Production House in France, with a primary focus on project development and facilitating international co-productions of films from Africa and their diasporas. He is a mentor for the Durban Talents programme and one of the initiators of YETU (Un)Limited.
