Biography

Ahmed Ibrahim is an Egyptian American writer/director based in Provincetown, MA. He was born and raised in Cairo before moving to NYC at the age of 22. He graduated from NYU with a major in Film and Media Immigration Patterns. Ibrahim has written and directed award-winning shorts that have screened in over 50 festivals worldwide. He worked at Shirin Neshat Studio as a producer and assistant director on films shot across the globe. Ibrahim directed videos for Visionaire Publishing and Refinery 29 and debuted Roddy Bottum’s (Faith No More) Sasquatch The Opera at the Edinburgh Fringe. In New York, Ibrahim joined the assistant directors’ teams for Mr. Robot, Homeland, and Succession. He is a Ryan Murphy TV Directing Program fellow, Disney Directing Program alumnus, and a member of the Directors Guild of America. His TV directing credits include Hulu’s Single Drunk Female and Deli Boys. His latest short film, A Chair For Her, stars Murray Bartlett and Mozhan Navabi. He is currently developing his first TV series, Accidental Villains, as part of the TFL SeriesLab.
