Together with his brother José, César directed eight short films with which, in addition to numerous awards at international festivals, they won a Spanish Film Academy Goya Award and two other nominations. Their directorial debut with 'Sin Fin' earned them another nomination for Best New Directors at the Goya Awards, as well as the Best First Film Award at the Malaga Festival 2018.
Together they founded Solita Films. From there, they have produced all their work and that of other authors. Among them are 'The Awakening of Ants' (co-produced with Costa-Rica, premiered at the Berlinale and nominated for the Goya Award for Best Latin American Film), 'The Fishbowl' (co-produced with Puerto-Rico, premiered at Sundance and also nominated for the Goya Award for Best Latin American Film) and 'Alemania' (co-produced with Argentina and premiered at Horizontes Latinos in San Sebastian).
