Emelia Hansson is a graduated director from the prestigious Stockholm University of the Arts (June 2023). Her graduate film Hel was well received on the screening for the industry and will now start it’s festival tour. She has written and directed short films, started with Mayfly (premiered at Gothenburg film festival 2019). Emelia was awarded Pixel talent award for Mayfly and continued with her next film Papptallrik (in which she was awarded Best directing, Best fiction, The Bergmanweek price and more). She’s been participating in talent development programs at Odense film festival, November filmfestival and Uppsala short film festival. Emelia is a trained actor (Prague Film School) and has appeared in numerous films and TV series, such as Wallander (2013), Our Time is Now (2018) and HUSS (2021). She has always been a writing her own projects, and co-writing others. Alongside her studies, she’s been writing The Making of a Terrorist with Leif Edlund.
