Martine Bakker is a comedy writer, comedian and author. She writes books, scripts, theatre texts, satirical articles and performs as a stand-upcomedian and improv comedian. She also gives courses in ‘writing with humor’. She wrote for De Speld (the Dutch The Onion), is co-founder and former editor-in-chief of the satirical online magazine De Pin (the Dutch Reductress) and won the Leeuwarder Cabaret Festival (a comedy competition in The Netherlands). In her non-fiction book 'I dare nothing but do everything' she talks openly about her journey to become a female stand-up comedian.
