Brussels based film director and visual artist, Frédérique de Montblanc studied at CalArts in Los Angeles (MFA). She wrote and directed the short dance film Malta Kano,TX (2015) with choreographer Dominic Walsh (US). She created the Fall (2016) a short film for slam poetry artist Queen Ka (CA). She directed Dragon Women (2022), a feature length documentary following 5 women working top jobs in the Finance sector. Under the Radar (2025) is her first short fiction. She is currently writing a remarriage comedy: Fruits & Nuts. As well as developing a feature length ensemble comedy: Pochette Surprise co-written with Noëmie Nicolas and Chloé Larouchi.
She created a number of interdisciplinary projects with visual artists such as : Various Artists (BE), Sarah Sire (BE), Madaleine Trigg (NZ) & Janne Larsen (US). As a designer, she has collaborated with directors and choreographers such as : Pascal Rambert (FR), Marie-Agnes Gillot (FR), Cie Mossoux-Bonté (BE), DWDT (US), Maxence Rey (FR), Maria-Clara Villa Lobos (BE), Sofia Betz (BE), Bára Sigfúsdóttir (FIN) and Clement Thirion (BE).
