Chiara Dainese is an Italian film editor,
graduated from the National Film School
in Rome after earning a degree in Film
Studies from the University of Turin. She
is considered one of the most promising
talents in Italian film editing, known for her
artistic and auteur-driven approach, and
works on international co-productions for
independent cinema.
She edited both Un anno di scuola (A Year
of School, 2025) and Piccolo Corpo (Small
Body, 2021) by Laura Samani, winner of both
the David di Donatello and EFA award for
best emerging Director. In 2024, she edited
Polvo Serán by Carlos Marques-Marcet,
winner of the Gaudí Award for Best Editing.
She is also passionate about documentary
cinema, where editing becomes an act
of storytelling. In 2021 she participated
in Berlinale Talents, driven by her passion
for international environments and the
opportunity to collaborate with filmmakers
from all over the world.
