Jessica Gonzalez

United Kingdom

Biography

Jess González is a multilingual storyteller, writer, performer, and director based in London. Working across stage and screen in English and Spanish, she creates character-driven comedy that blends cinematic imagination, emotional truth, and the absurd. She is best known for her comic act in which she channels David Lynch returning from the afterlife to make his ultimate film — a surreal performance that moves between stand-up, monologue, and séance. Her work explores the tension between high art and low comedy, slipping fluidly between satire, physical theatre, and intimate confession. Jess has created, written, directed, and performed theatre and film projects across Spain, Italy, and the UK. She directed for the award-winning Spanish web series Dinosaurio, and co-created, directed, and starred in the web series Bitching Kills, a dark comedy in which she plays the unapologetically chaotic Barb. Comedy is central to her current practice. On stage she performs stand-up as Jess “The Mess” — both as herself and in character — and regularly improvises with the London-based comedy group Ricky! , inviting audiences into strange her strange but colourful world.
