Biography

Born in Rome in 1979. After a degree and a Ph.D in Philosophy, plus some years of experience as Journalist (Internazionale, Il Riformista) and Translator (Rizzoli), she attended the Rai-Script Program In Screenwriting. In 2009 she wrote with V. Mieli and D. Lantieri the feature film “Dieci inverni” (Ten Winters), selected for Venice Film Festival, section “Controcampo Italiano”. The movie, directed by Valerio Mieli, won David di Donatello Award, Nastro D’argento Award, Fice Award, Villerupt Italian Film Festival Award, Ciak D’oro “Bello e invisibile”, Capri Hollywood Exploit Award, Spirit of Fire Film Festival Award and many other national and international awards. From 2009 to 2012 she works full time for the tv production company “Publispei” as Staff Writer and wrote (with F. Cestaro and A. Carpin) two tv movies directed by Giulio Manfredonia, “Nemici amici”; she also developed the bible and treatments of the tv series “Rocco e I suoi fratelli – La serie” and other tv bibles and pilots. She wrote several episodes of popular tv series like “I Cesaroni”, “Medico in famiglia” and “Benvenuti a tavola”. She’s been the Story Editor of the feature film “Italo Barocco”, directed by Alessia Scarso and produced by Arà, in competition this year at International Film Festival for Youth. Among the movies she wrote and soon to be shot: “Les filles du temps”, directed by Valerio Mieli and produced by Indigo and Babe Films; “Ismael”, directed by Elisa Amoruso and produced by C. Coldagelli and V. Avenia; “Sons of the Ice”, directed by Stefano Lodovichi and produced by Mood Film and Rai Cinema. From 2013 she’s been co-creator of several tv series for the television company Cattleya: she wrote the bible of the crime series “Il confine” (with Salvatore Marcarelli), the pilot of the comedy series “Ogni 7 secondi” (with Francesco Piccolo and Ludovica Rampoldi) and the whole tv series “Grand Hotel” (with Peter Exacoustos and Daniela Bortignoni), scheduled for airing by Rai Uno next fall. She’s been juror at Maremetraggio Award and Solinas Award and tutor of two feature film screenplay for Solinas Experimenta Contest. Since 2011 she holds all the screenwriting courses at Creative Writing School “Omero”, Rome.
