Born in 1983, Clément Cogitore lives and works in Paris. After completing his studies at the Studio National des Arts Contemporains in Fresnoy, he directed his first short film, Chroniques, in 2006. In 2007, he presented Visités at the Locarno International Film Festival. In 2010, he was awarded the European Grand Prize for a First Film in Vevey (Switzerland) and Best Film at the Belo Horizonte Festival (Brazil) for his medium-length film Parmi Nous. In 2011, his documentary Bielutine - Dans le jardin du temps was selected for the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. He is currently writing his first feature-length fiction film, The Wakhan Front, for which he was awarded the Prix SACD de la Fondation Beaumarchais in 2012 and is currently a resident at the French Academy in Rome - Villa Medici.
