Meike Martens heads Blinker Filmproduktion, which she founded with Heino Deckert in 2007. Current international co-productions are Mika Taanila’s "The Plant" (FI-GER) and Patricio Guzmán’s "Nostalgia De La Luz"(E-GER). Besides their feature film projects Blinker develops creative documentary projects for adults and children.Meike has an extensive international production background with ma.ja.de. film, where she produced, amongst others, Ekaterina Eremenko’s "Sound of Russia"(03), Azza El Hassan’s "Kings and Extras"(04) or "Sugar Town" by Kimon Tsakiris (06). Most recently Meike co-ordinated the GER-B-NL production "Altiplano" (aka Fragments of Grace) by Woodworth and Brosens, which was shot in the Peruvian Andes and is now in post-production.
