Biography

Verona Meier is a film producer at Storm Films in Oslo. Her recent feature film credits include the Norwegian documentary NORTH SOUTH MAN WOMAN by Morten Traavik and Sun Kim, which began its festival journey in Sheffield this summer; KEVLAR SOUL by Swedish director Maria Eriksson-Hecht, which premiered in competition at the Gothenburg Film Festival earlier this year; SHAMBHALA by Min Bahadur Bham, selected for competition at Berlinale 2024; and CU LI NEVER CRIES by Lan Ngoc Pham, which screened in the Berlinale Panorama section and won the Best Debut Film award across all sections. Other notable titles she has worked on include VENICE by Georgian director Rusudan Chkonia, which premiered at the Beijing International Film Festival 2024; FEATHERS by Egyptian filmmaker Omar El Zohairy, winner of the main award at Cannes Critics’ Week 2021; and RAFIKI by Kenyan director Wanuri Kahiu, a Palme d’Or nominee in the Cannes Un Certain Regard section in 2018. She also produced the animated tongue-twister app for children titled Teary Tiger Toasts Tomatoes, which was featured as App of the Week in the Apple Store in 2021. Verona is currently involved in different fiction and documentary co-/productions with partners in Indonsia, Iran and Nepal, while also providing legal and business affairs services for other companies in the film business.
