Yael Bartana (1970) is a renowned visual artist and filmmaker living in Tel Aviv, Berlin and Amsterdam. Her experimental projects and films investigate aspects of society interweaving past and present, reality and fiction, the conceptual and the emotional. Her projects won several prizes and were collected and exhibited by the Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou, MoMA PS1, among others. She has participated with her film Inferno at the 64th Berlinale. Her film trilogy AND EUROPE WILL BE STUNNED represented Poland at the 54th Venice Biennale.
