Konstantina Kotzamani’s short and mediumlength
films have premiered in major festivals
such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Locarno
and have received numerous international
awards. For her films Washingtonia (2014),
Limbo (2016), and Electric Swan (2019)
she has been thrice awarded by the Hellenic
Film Academy with the best short film award
and twice nominated by the European Film
Academy for the best short of the year.
Her films have been broadcast on European
channels, such as ARTE and FRANCE TV,
as well as in Asia and USA, and have been
distributed on arthouse platforms like
Criterion, MUBI, Cinobo, etc. Moreover,
they have been the theme of retrospectives
in festivals like BAFICI, Go SHORTS, Festival
du Nouveau Cinema Montreal, etc. Her
most recent medium-length film, What
Mary Didn’t Know, a French-Greek-Swedish
co-production, which was shot in France
and Greece with a Swedish and French-
Algerian cast, is currently in post-production.
Titanic Ocean is her debut feature film.
