Biography

Lorenzo Cioffi was born in Naples in 1979, he graduated in History of Cinema at University Roma Tre. He continued his education attending a year-long class in Documentary Cinema at Drop Out School in Milan. Then he worked in Paris as production assistant. In 2006, he came back to Italy to work as author and filmmaker. In 2011, he founded Ladoc, since then he has been producing documentaries for cinema and Tv. He attended Eurodoc programme in 2016, Berlinale Talents 2017 and Jihlava Emerging Producers 2018. Among the latest documentaries he produced: "Napolislam" by Ernesto Pagano (best italian doc at Biografilm and IDFA 2015; broadcast on Sky Italy, Al Jazeera Balkans, France Télévisions, RSI, Al Arabiya); "La natura delle cose" by Laura Viezzoli (Locarno Film Festival 2016; broadcast on RSI), "La nostra strada" by Piero Li Donni (Biografilm, best italian doc, and IDFA 2020), "Quando tu sei Vicino a me" by Laura Viezzoli (Jihlava, special mention of the jury, and Popoli 2021), "Femicide" by Nina Maria Paschalidou (2022; with Al Jazeera English and Sky documentaries), "Infinty. The Universe of Luigi Ghirri" by Matteo Parisini 2023; Festival del Cinema di Roma).
