Green Latam Lab is aimed at Latin American film professionals who wish to develop their green skills by working on a concrete sustainability plan for a fiction feature film. The programme provides knowledge and practical tools to enhance professional competencies and increase the project's potential, specifically within the Latin American context. Participants will develop sustainability plans for 3 selected fiction feature projects currently in pre-production and scheduled to be shot within the next 9 months.

Green Latam Lab is organised by TorinoFilmLab - Museo Nazionale del Cinema with Bocacha Films.

Who can apply

- Producers with a fiction feature project in pre-production (scheduled to shoot within the next 9 months), as well as producers without a current project who are interested in developing green practices on set, learning how to integrate green strategies into their productions, and engaging their crews effectively.
Producers with a project may apply alone or together with the crew member responsible for implementing the sustainability strategy on set.

- Crew members (e.g., production assistants, production coordinators, line producers) who wish to gain practical knowledge on how to implement environmentally-friendly measures on set, following the producer’s guidance, and upskill their profiles with the competencies needed to manage the day-to-day workflow during production.

- Delegates from funds, film commissions, and film institutions who are interested in acquiring tools to inform policy development and implementation.

Applicants must confirm their full availability to attend all sessions.

The main working languages of the workshop are English and Spanish; therefore, a good command of English is essential for participation.

PARTICIPATION FEE

The workshop is free of charge.

The training, accommodation and meals are covered during the workshop; participants must cover their travel costs.

The schedule

Sunday evening, 7th December: welcome dinner
From Monday, 8th to Thursday 11th December: from 9 am to 6:30 pm
Friday, 12th December: end of activities in early afternoon

The schedule may be subject to change.


HOW TO APPLY

For producers applying WITH a project:

The requested materials – to be submitted all together in 1 single PDF (10 MB max.), 12 font, 1,5 line spacing and all in English and/or Spanish – are:

1) Professional bio – 1 page max for each participant (for the two people if accompanied by a crew member)
2) Cover letter specifying: your expectations about the programme, your motivation to participate, previous actions in sustainability, if any – 1 page max for each participant
3) Applicants and project main data - for communication purposes
4) High-res photograph (1 MB approx.) for each participant
5) Detailed budget
6) Financial plan
7) Confirmed crew details
8) Detailed development pre- production and shooting timetable
9) Synopsis – 1 page max
10) Treatment – 15 pages max, to be attached as last element, at the end of the dossier.

If selected, a script in English and/or Spanish should be available.

 

For professionals applying WITHOUT a project:

The requested materials – to be submitted all together in 1 single PDF (10 MB max.), 12 font, 1,5 line spacing and all in English and/or Spanish – are:
