An intensive workshop for film, media and digital professionals to gain experience on creating audience engagement strategies for feature film projects.
TFL Extended – Audience Design Lab is an intensive workshop addressed to international film, media and digital professionals wishing to gain solid hands-on experience on creating audience engagement strategies for feature film projects in various stages of development. The workshop aims to share insights and tools to build a concrete strategy in support of a film’s sales and distribution. The Lab focuses on developing abilities in audience analysis and crafting tailored plans for audience engagement to maximize the film’s potential during the distribution phase.
Up to 5 selected participants will work in group on the feature film project winner of the Audience Design Award, selected by the World Cinema Fund & TorinoFilmLab, with the aim of designing a strategy based on a deep analysis of the film’s strengths and challenges in relation to the potential festival run and distribution territories.
Working in collaboration with the film team (producers & director), the participants will be guided by a tutor to develop abilities in audience analysis and to build a strategy for audience engagement. The process will include the identification of core audiences and niches, the definition of relevant communication angles and the design of actions and promotional ideas to leverage the film’s assets. The Lab is completed by a session on digital marketing and social media, and will take advantage of AI tools to support the brainstorming process.
