OPEN CALLS & SELECTIONS

Welcome to SeriesLab & SeriesLab Story Editing 2026!

Let’s discover projects and participants of a brand-new edition of SeriesLab & SeriesLab Story Editing! At its 10th year, the TFL screenwriting development programme dedicated to fiction TV series - organised with the support of Creative Europe - MEDIA Sub-programme of the European Union - welcomes 9 projects, 24 participants and 3 story editor trainees.

The 9 projects have been selected after TorinoFilmLab have received 96 applications from 50 countries; besides 43 more submissions from 21 countries as one of the 3 story editor trainees – that will join the tutor and the projects’ teams of each group during the sessions –. In total, the 2026 edition welcomes 27 participants: writers/directors, co-writers, creators, producers and aspiring story editors coming from 16 different countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Philippines, Switzerland, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Ukraine).

The Head of Studies Eszter Angyalosy (Hungary) can count on Eilon Ratzkovsky (Israel), Curator of the programme, and on three international tutors, that will support the three groups in which participants are divided during the workshops: the TFL alumnus György Baráthy (Hungary), Kirsten Ittershagen (Germany), and Cyril Tysz (France). Completing the pedagogical team, the Austrian screenwriter Jacob Groll, mentor of the story editor trainees.

Participants will gather in 3 one-week long residential workshops in Poland, Spain and Italy, plus some online sessions in between, starting from June 2026. The lab culminates with the TFL Meeting Event – our co-production market in Turin, in November – during which teams will present their projects and story editors will network with an audience of producers, sales agents, and other industry professionals, invited by TFL from all over the world.

A big welcome to the 2026 SeriesLab class!
