Laura McNicholas is a graduate of University College Dublin, an alumni of the TorinoFilmLab SeriesLab, the Rotterdam Producers Lab at IFFR and industry labs with MediaXchange and the Erich Pommer Institut. Having recently been given the most promising Producer award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (sponsored by the Marché du Film) Laura will next be part of the Cannes Producers Network at Cannes 2021. Laura McNicholas established and runs 925 Productions in Dublin. 925 develops and produces TV drama and feature films. 925 Productions creates character driven drama with strong through lines. 925 Productions have the feature film CLASS A and the TV dramas’ THE CROSSING PLACE and THE LIBERTIES in development with the support of Screen Ireland. 925 Productions attends markets at Berlin, MIPCOM, Cannes, Tallinn Black Nights, Series Mania, Content London and the Galway Film Fleadh. Past work includes multiple award winning short films including MR YEATS & THE BEASTLY COINS, CUTTING GRASS, BREAK US, NEON and PROCESSION all of which were funded by Screen Ireland and screened at festivals including Palm Springs, Fantasia, LA Shorts Fest, Galway Film Fleadh, Helsinki IFF and Dublin IFF. Laura previously worked as the production executive with Samson Films on features including END OF SENTENCE, CELLAR DOOR, FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY and A DARK SONG. These titles played at festivals including TIFF, London IFF, Edinburgh IFF, Sitges and Fantastic Fest. Along with this, Laura shot digital content and press junkets for Element Pictures.
