Almudena Monzú is a screenwriter, script consultant and producer between Barcelona and Madrid. She is one of the founding partners of the production company Amor & Lujo. As a script consultant, she has been trained in Torino Film Lab as a story editor trainee, and in the Groupe Ouest's LIM workshops, where she was selected as a development angel. As a script analyst, she has worked for production companies such as Morena Films, Tandem Films or Distinto, as well as for many authors who have put the development of their stories in her hands. As a screenwriter, she is the creator of the series in development Picadero (selected in the CoPro pitching sessions of the Festival Series Mania, and in the Copro Series of the Berlinale). She is currently co-writing the miniseries Puberty with Leticia Dolera, and the debut feature of theater director Iván Morales. She is also the screenwriter of The Infantas (2021), short film selected at Toronto Film Festival and winner of the La Noche del Corto Español award at SEMINCI. In 2021 she was selected as one of the Talents to Watch in the Writers Campus of Series Mania. As a producer, her most recent titles are the co-production with Sweden Passion (Maja Borg, 2021; selected at CPH:DOX, BFI Flare and Seville Film Festival) and the documentary in postproduction Otherness (Nora Haddad and Alba Cros, supported by ICAA and ICEC and selected in Abycine Lanza).
