Biography

Film director, lecturer at Polish National Film School. Awarded twice by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for outstanding achievements in arts and received Wiesław Nowicki Prize for the most promising young filmmaker. Chosen for 2018 by Variety as one of the 10 European to Watch. Her feature documentary debut "Over the Limit" premiered in Main Competition at IDFA, was presented at over 80 festivals, awarded with 31 prizes, had cinema distribution in the USA, Spain, Chile, Canada, and Poland. The film was New York Times "Critic’s Pick”. Her films include internationally awarded documentaries "Vakha and Magomed" (2010), "Eighteenth Birthday" (2012), "Talk to Me" (2015) and the fiction film "Hot and Cold" (2016). She directed a docuseries "Teen Mom Poland" for MTV Poland and was a unit director for fiction TV series "Illegals" for Canal +. Her films were screened at hundreds of film festivals like BFI London FF, Sarajevo FF, Cannes Short Film Corner, Melbourne IFF, Dok Leipzig, Visions du Reel, Hot Docs Toronto, Sydney FF, Camerimage. She creates an author's cinema.
