Gale Osorio started as an art director for an advertising agency under Publicis Groupe. In 2012, she undertook her graduate coursework in cinema studies and started working for BINISAYA Film Festival. Next she produced Keith Deligero’s ISKALAWAGS (2013) and LILY (2016), with both films making many of the top ten film critics’ lists in their respective years. The short film she produced, BABYLON (2017), won several awards locally and internationally, and was officially selected in the Shorts Competition of the 68th Berlinale International Film Festival. Following Berlinale, Gale received a six months fellowship in Busan Asian Film School in South Korea to learn about international film co-production. In the same year, she was selected as a resident in the Pustnik Screenwriters’ Residency in Cetate, Romania. Her latest film A SHORT HISTORY OF A FEW BAD THINGS (2018) was nominated for best picture in both FAMAS and Gawad Urian, won best actor in FAMAS, and received a Special Citation Award in the Cinema One Originals Film Festival. She is currently in post-production for the short film UNDER THE TREE (2019); and in development for the feature version of BABYLON under the EAVE Ties That Bind Co-Production Workshop.
